Yesterday the plan was the Mt. Washington auto road. The route was pretty straightforward so I didn't write anything down. 17 W to 2 west and then eventually 16 S, but I was so into the tire balancing thing and felt like I was nailing it with very few iterations and all four tires involved, plus the playin' around with other lunatic drivers that I overshot route 2 and was pretty much into Rangeley.

I was debating whether or not to backtrack and correct my course but ultimately decided to call it a day and resume tomorrow.

Need to get caught up on the mundane shit, a bit, and try again today. The auto road closes at 8:00 PM which is about eight hours from now. Might have some decent dashcam footage worth posting when it's all done.

Baphomets. I do get the email notifications when you comment in the profile. Actually the story goes like this. Out of the three run-ins that I had with 'agents of the system'. One was thrown out, and another was reduced from a criminal to a civil matter between me and this rookie fucking cunt from the UK, and as a result of that particular 'offense' the DMV has taken my license for 150 days.

I have a good case on the above and could appeal it in superior court for 175.00, but since it's only 150 days plus a required DEEP course I may as well not bother.

That faggot who presided over the DMV hearing sided with the two cops who were also present on the call, even after I pointed out several discrepancies in their evaluation.

Anyway, I've been taking it easy for a few days and instead of creating, I'm just relocating new stuff elsewhere and listening to music as far as the internet side of things.

Still have more work to do on the car, and maybe some mods, and when it's all said and done there will be no fear of flying so long as I don't leave the ground.

I got a couple months to go. The thing I've been thinking about the most is the six(now five) petrified bolts on the transmission pan, and how I'm gonna deal with that so I can do scheduled maintenance. I would feel really good about getting that done.

One bolt broke, so they're probably all gonna break. I'm either going to do it myself, or take it to my mechanic and leave it for a couple days. Decisions, decisions.

Well today we flip the calendar again and write down all that we owe money to, but not only that, at the end of the following month(Jan 28), we can get our license reinstated, provided we have jumped through a DEEP hoop.

The upper teens to lower 20s finally killed the battery. I never did replace it when I did the alternator. Yesterday was spent charging the Super Start battery pack, so we'll give that a go today and see if we can squeeze by on the old battery for a while longer.

Also got a replacement high 'E' for the acoustic today, so there's another small project, plus I restrung the electric while waiting for that. Maybe try to do something a bit more structured this time and upload a couple instrumentals. I got evil in mind for the electric. It's good for the dark stuff and of course the aesthetically pleasing for the acoustic, and yeah I know, everybody and their brother plays guitar but what the fuck.

Be getting back to this soon. Same as mine, open for mods, but pretty decent as is. I like the auto-stick feature and driving it like a standard on the backroads, plus the scenery is good and you never know what you might come across.

Around 200 for a new battery. 2007 Dodge Charger RT. Put a nice new looking rebuilt alternator in recently. Don't know when the battery was changed last. Might as well put a new one in it I guess, and it should be good to go.

It was closer to 175 for the battery. I spontaneously decided to take a walk over and get one. Never walked 3/4 of a mile carrying a battery before. It was a pretty good workout. I got the big 49 H8 for the HEMI. About 50 lbs. The smaller 94s are closer to 30 lbs which I presume is why they average them at around 40.

I had it wrapped up in a couple O'reilleys' cheap canvas bags, or whatever they were, and it did feel a little weird when I cut across the Federal Building, and then the State complex. If you know what I mean.

The worst part about the battery project was carrying it the 3/4 of a mile from O'reilleys', but I don't regret it. It was a good workout.

The project went as you would expect most projects to go. No petrified bolts, no hacksawing, and no tight awkward spaces to have to work in. Just loosening of a strap that secures the battery in place (as if it needs it), removal of a vent hose, and loosening of terminals, with the procedure reversed for installing the new battery.

The first thing I noticed was the trunk light came on, a good sign. I was a little worried before starting because it had set in extremely cold temps for so long - maybe a couple weeks or more, with temps ranging from freezing to below zero, but single digits much of the time. It did start right up pretty good though and I'm just killing a few minutes while I let it run for a while.

DEEP course is scheduled for Feb 4th. Twenty hours divided by three days, so should be legal to drive again by mid February. It's what happens when you're not careful, so we should try to be a bit more cautious from now on while having our fun or whatever you want to call it - it's engaging; it can be fun. Somebody knows what I'm talking about.

Yeah, storm aside. It'll be over with Sunday, and then I'm assuming Monday I can go to DMV and get reinstated. I'll know better after the class though.

I got my number two pencils with a good eraser(required). I got my favorite bic pen, and the required mask(KN95), yada yada. It'll all be over soon.

Now all I need is a nice shiny red pencil box.

Ticonderogas are the best, but the Staples, Office Depot, and Pentel brands do the trick too.

After all the talk about how they rarely, seldom, and hardly ever cancel. The MF's canceled. The entire thing was rescheduled for the following week. I suppose my situation is a bit unique though. I live less than a mile from the place.

It woulda been a walk in the park comparatively speaking. The last time I walked similar distance I was carrying a 50 lb battery like a bushel of apples.

You are stirring up decades old shit with the "Ticonderoga", and the "Pentel". Maybe the Pentels were those push-button pencils with those separate case refills, and the slenderly, and fragerly little lead sticks to accompany.

When I lived in Seattle I had to walk 2 miles up a bunch of steep hills with a battery. It was horrible. I know how shitty that is. I had to call in sick at my job that day because my Volvo wouldn’t start and when I got back the next day my boss was like “Did you have fun on your day off”….

Before I decided I went and lifted a couple 15 lb plates as a quick refresher and thought "That's not that bad", but the battery I got was about 20 lbs heavier. They got those handles, and that's okay for a few yards - carrying it like a suitcase. Anything farther requires a bit of a different strategy.

It's a lot more difficult to get a taxi these days, and Ubers are sort of new around here and couldn't get one of those either. I am glad I wrapped it up good though because I did end up setting it down a few times on the way back.

And once again it's down to two, deja vu.
