There are many different cultures, not just national/political, but like, scientists, electricians, musicians, trippers, and so on. Everything is a culture, groups of people who have mutual pursuit of a goal. Whether or not any said culture is successful is another matter. Is the group realistic or completely stupid? I don't mind the idea of like minded people, so as long as they have their shit together in some way, but that doesn't mean they have to be "mainstream." That is essentially my argument here, is that some culture is correct, as in true-to-reality, where other cultures form around ideals that don't add up in the real world.

I've seen the argument that "all culture/tribalism is detrimental" but I think it goes beyond just that term, for reasons:

Ideology is a part of culture, one which I group into the realm of abstract ideas. Politics and religion are a real thing, but only in people's heads. It is taught as something to be pursued, populated, protected and all with no analysis of opposition, except to denounce it, usually on general terms.
In other words, mere "ideals" become the core focus. In my observation, people who live by abstract ideas are never satisfied, because what they believe in has no valid proof in the real world. Ideology is a crazy thing, which more often than not leads to fanaticism, which is where the real craziness begins.

I think the best we have with our minds at this point, is to scrutinize everything. I'm not perfect at this and it too may be an abstract idea. To use psychedelia as a means to scrutinize your own perceptions of reality I think so far, is a genuine approach to see things in a different light, or at least have new experiences that may put your daily life and existence into a new perspective.

That was the short version of what I wrote yesterday. Will have to use notepad for now on, just in case.

P.J. Thank you for posting this video: all references to "you" are not pointed at anyone single person in group.

I understand how small the idea of the genetic information, family, reality, emotional stability can seem so small when we compare ourselves and how we have been negotiating life, safety and happiness to the ever growing universe. How attractive is the idea the we could possible escape this reality with the use of chemical compounds dived from plants and perfected in labs to temporally escape this drudgery of humanity, to temporally be above it all.

When you wake up, when you sober up, you will be the same. No matter the drug induced travels or epiphanies . you will still be you, The town, city, state, country, planet, solar system, universe will be the same. The reality of your Mother, Father and grandparents all l the way back conception of humanity until you arrived will remain unchanged.

Drugs cannot effect long lasting change reaching millennia, maybe inside your head, maybe take your life or make it shorter but they will change nothing for anyone and you will die, no one will care in a decade, especially if you have no children or extended family members children, close friends (chosen family) your existents as person in this plane of existence will go away. Perhaps all fades to black or you become a floating ball of energy, you can see all and know all and do nothing to effect physical change here.

In the end none of this will matter only what you leave behind in the minds and hearts of the people that loved you. Having a culture, loving your people produces a well-rounded happier person there are studies that found these conclusions. These things that are good can be manipulated for bad things. Everyone is turning their back on their humanity because of exaggerated lies and crazy communist teachers. Many of these problems this man speaks about were exactly caused from the manipulations of real tribal culture and turned into this hippy dippy stoner bullshit.

As far as the plant shamans I believe that is true, I think each tribe has their own shamanic plant to be used as medicine or a rite of passage, given under the care of your tribes shaman. For example the European medicine plant would be the mushrooms, as is clearly depicted in so much of our art and stories.

I don’t think doing drugs is a moral question at all, it's just a question with your strong enough to take this journey with your eyes wide open in your own power.
This video is long but really cool

P.S.
Serious magicians that work to effectively change reality, ether stop using all together as they advance or will not use when they do ritual because the magic won't work or a parasite will jump in there body for a joy ride.

I like to keep things short here because the average person will not read passed a few lines. You know,..like how everyone seems to read the news. If you want to talk more about any of this let me know.

I tend not to over-think drug use for or against. It is an experience. Experiences certainly do have the power to shape a person, and this is to say nothing of the sometimes permanent changes that come about through the physiological incidentals such as down-regulation or dendrite pruning. Incidentally, the only thing you'll ever get to experience at all is the inside of your own head. The only thing anyone ever perceives are perceptions.

That nothing anyone does will have any lasting impact on an aeonic scale reads as an endorsement of quietism. That is all one can take from such an outlook.

There is also this little pickle of a conundrum concerning drugs: only those who have done them can say for sure both _that_ they are unnecessary for the path, and - most importantly - _why_. Without the why gained of a willingness to dare and to venture against all warnings, what you have on your hands is no magician at all, but instead an obedient clod. A drone.

The interesting effect of the hallucinations, at least that I've found, isn't the insights or the art or even its poetry, but rather their property facilitating the dissolution of one's mental conditioning or programming. Of course, since nature abhors a vacuum, once that conditioning has been dissolved, something eventually will be built up in its place. What that something _is_ varies wildly. Often it is an incomprehensible mess - a cult follower - but occasionally some people get it right. Those are the ones to watch out for.

*as to what serious magicians do or do not do behind closed doors: I've never met a serious magician. The ability to be taken seriously precludes one from ever mentioning that they are one.

I'll tell ya why to do drugs man, it's a fuckin' trip!

And you'll have all these ideas and questions going on about it afterword that are quite a far cry from the usual bullshit knocking around your brain all day.

As for the Trump clip, he's just appealing to his voters, who are mostly Christian conservative people who buy into the idea of media violence producing psychos, which is scientifically, and more importantly, statistically debunked.

Now back to the message at hand: Psychadellics are something that can alter your perceptions a lot, your perceptions include everything other thoughts have in your brain: emotion and knowledge, and those two things are often tied together, like wires wound and twisted together, both charging the same output.

What drugs to, is free the wires individually, or sometimes add new ones, and on occasion, mix and match, and on extreme occasions, re-direct your mind to parts of the hardware that haven't ever been used. That's the fun shit.

Yes I agree in the rewiring i think that's true and drugs being fun of course and that can be beneficial. But I would hardly call doing drugs "brave" or the mark of then individual thinking outside the box. I dont think doing or not doing drugs matters at all l. I think people make a huge deal out of doing drugs because they fall for the experience in their mind. freeing your mind without training wheels would be better. But it the whole drug use is for a good time then have at it lolYes I agree in the rewiring i think that's true and drugs being fun of course and that can be beneficial. It's not enough to simply do them, true, but there are definitely doses of nearly all psychoactive compounds large enough to qualify as nothing short of "heroic". Aspire to this.
