A nephef needing better directions for life from Mikitz's blog

I have stumbled across with a serious dilemma: my nephef seems to be lost with Christianity. I was happy to hear that he got his first job (at 16), but the bad part is that he got it from a Christian congregation. 


I really like that kid. He's really smart and I have always been there for him, but this thing could seriously damage our relations if this goes on like this much further. I live in Finland and Christian fanaticism is uncommon in our region, yet his grandparents have way too much influence on his life. They're religious nuts.


I even ordered him a Satanic bible and once he gets it, I really hope that he will read it completely with no presuppositions. 


Any ideas how to convince that the LHP is really the right way? Otherwise he will just screw his own life, having me just watch all this happen on the side...

I think it is important to recognise that not everyone gets to the same destination via the same path. I don't know your nephews future. I think, offer him your alternative but then let him make his own way. He could uncover important info which helps to make his foundations really sturdy. Being Christian may eventually be what leads him to the occult or whatever. He can learn some knowledge from you, but like the rest of us, much of it he needs to discover for himself. I know it is hard when you care about young ones - you want to make their life easy but nobody ever got strong by living an easy life. SahdowLover, I agree with you. No-one can be taught to be Satanist, only atheist. I've done it several times so far, successfully. What is your intention? Have you asked him what he believes? What is the worst Christianity candidate to him? Would you be reacting this way if he was hired by Hindus? Buddhists? How much of this is about you?
