This is my new favorite cop show. Back in the 80s there was a hip cop show called "Miami Vice." If that show had a granddaughter in the 20-teens, it would be this show. It stars Jessica Alba and Gabrielle Union, both of whom I love and who are just right for their roles. It was produced for the Spectrum cable service and was largely unknown until it subsequently aired on Netflix, which is where I watch it. Recommended. Here's a trailer.

My daughter, my son-in-law and I just always seem to be watching tattoo shows.

Lately I'm watching this on my own (not with my family).

I watch YouTube videos a lot on the big screen. The algorithm does a good job of recommending so I mostly just scroll down and choose from that.

Documentaries, people acting like idiots, animal attacks, angry customers and employees and other similar and maybe not so much. It varies, but I like the idea of being able to search for the content I'd like to watch.

No fiction?

I'll eagerly anticipate a major title like Avengers End Game, Justice League and similar. Dr. Strange was a bit of a disappointment as the anticipation and delivery exceeded the experience.

There was this really really cool movie from decades ago that happened upon at a markdown section of the video store. It was called Dark Forces(Harlequin), and wanted to see it again, but it became difficult to find, even on torrent sites.

Still have the sci fi from the ~60s in the back of my head but I know that it will never be as good s the first time when experience was a much newer thing.

I just started watching this documentary. Geniuses, entrepreneurs, and philanthropists all fascinate me. Bill Gates is all three.

Now I'm watching season 7 of one of my favorite shows of all time: Bosch, on Prime.

This clip features Harry Bosch and his daughter. My favorite shows often feature a father and daughter in prominent roles. I myself am a father with two daughters.

The Bosch series taught me to appreciate old school jazz. Harry Bosch is a dedicated fan of the genre and often plays his vinyl records while relaxing in his very impressive house. He inspired me to buy some vinyl records of my own. This is the show's theme song.

I haven't been watching many movies lately, but I did recently add Ice Road(Liam Neeson) from the Netflix Originals menu, and it was pretty good : 3/5. I don't have too many recollections of "Kenworth" appearing in any context other than that old song by C.W. Mc Call : Convoy.

And a few YouTube videos featuring sovereign citizens and the "right to travel", (among others). I do find it difficult to fathom that (so many) people can actually be that retarded.

My daughter and I are watching this. We watched the original together, back in the day. This new version is equally good. In some ways, better.

I guess I'm just brainfucked lately. I can't watch something that I know is not real, and I'm not interested in pretending that it is, or ignoring the fact that it isn't.

It's just people, pretending, and I'm sick of it.

That's interesting, CC. For me, suspension of disbelief comes as easily as breathing. I can even oscillate rapidly back and forth between thinking about the actors as actors and thinking about them as the characters they're playing. Most of the people I've ever met (maybe all) can do this. Were you able to do it when you were a child?
