Someone said, "Ok this lady is real religious, so keep that is mind"
They went on to convince the tard the song, which translates from Italian as "In The Garden Life", was about The Book of Genesis.
And being a dumb flat earth Christian with no conception of metaphor it bought it hook, line, and sinker, despite the rather simplistic and carnal lyrics.
Anyway...
After I heard the song earlier on the XM radio, and then remembered this humorous opening anecdote, I decided there may be a topic.
The above song was the sex music of The Free Love Generation. Encapsulating the rejection of the values of 50's America. Like Reverend Lovejoy on The Simpsons, many REALLY ARE stupid enough to think the song was supposed to called, "In The Garden of Eden".
To me the most apparent tell of intelligence is ability to metaphor and satire. Understanding metaphor requires unguided thinking, and that is as hard to find as someone that doesn't use coincidence and irony interchangeably. By extension writing used to allude to something other then outwardly intended is an art that left every child behind... much like grammar did to me.
Then the pound sign became a hashtag and killed off critical thinking for good.
