there was an article in the german magazine SPIEGEL (nr.53 24.dec.2015),
about the discrimination of atheists.
supposedly there are 55 countries (theres a map!) with anti-blasphemy laws, where scolding religious beliefs is illegal, ranging from local restrictions to fines, jail or even death penalty. i suspect though that doesn´t necesarily count for anyone scolding satanism though.
39 of these 55 countries can hand out jailtime. including germany where you can get up to 3 years.
island and norway have abandoned their anti blasphemy laws in 2015.
23% of the world population are non-religious and make up the third largest group after christians and muslims, and are therefore on par with hinduism.
atheism has grown by 9% between 2005 and 2012.
it says that the discrimination of christians and muslims is usually well documented but the discrimination of atheists is hardly ever systematically looked into because religious groups are backed by strong organisations suchj as the vatican, whilst atheists are weakly organised or not at all.
