What are your personal thoughts on someone who likes Satanism just for the looks, but doesn't like anything else to do with it? If they are willing to listen, would you be willing to teach them? Show them? Or anything like that?
To like satanisim for what ever reason is your busness, if you just like the imagery and style thats often called "darkly inclined" as coined by the Goth community and is not really "Satanic". My personal understanding of the LHP thus far is you have to do it by yourself. To me Satanism is a personality type and not a set of explicit beliefes, though for the most part the worldview most in line it is found in buddhism. A focus not towards the sky but within to eventually reach enlightenment. Ideal forms of enlightenment and who dictated those are really the only things that change... for all religions.
Great examples of that satanic core in Tibet though. If you have ever wondered what that impulse is to make a peaceful monk burn themselves alive (or openly cut open their body) rather than submit to Chinese authority you need look no further than an internal aversion to subjugation along perceived unreasonable lines.
On that, one the strangest things to me are people trolling the angry high school product of fundamentalists that finds everything he is looking for in that which antagonizes his household authority. If someone has the desire to learn they will seek it themselves. Today more than ever there is a attitude of ' teach me ' or ' show me ' . Fuck that. If someone has put forth the effort to educate themselves and then is asking for guidance or help sure. I like to call what you are describing "meme Satanism". It may work for a time, but you will eventually discover what Satanism is and why it exists. It's not just a joke to piss off Christians, but a strong ideology against all religious dogma, and the damage it causes.
