One of them, having an artistic soul, decided to draw my portrait.
My colleague was laughing, saying "Oh you look so like yourself here! It's so similar!" She stopped laughing when she saw her "portrait." She didn't keep it as a souvenir.
The Wall
I'm not a qualified nurse, I help the patients with the daily activities, feeding, washing them, changing diapers etc, anything they need. Dunno how it's called in English, personal care assistant maybe or whatever. You don't need any medical training for that.
Abuse does happen but the situation is better than it used to be in the past, with most extreme cases being reported in the media. I'm not an expert on the Asian culture but I think there the whole family cares for the elderly. Here, the person who decides to look after the old sick parent is usually left alone without the help from the rest of the family.
