Some dreams are so absurd and nonsensical or chaotic that it would be extremely hard, if not impossible, to write them down. Any writing must have some structure so giving form to something that lacks coherence is meddling with it. So to some extent, any recording of a dream is inaccurate. I also wonder why would anyone want to write down their dreams. Some dreams are so absurd and nonsensical or chaotic that it would be extremely hard, if not impossible, to write them down. People do it for all sorts of psycho-spiritual reasons. To some extent I really believe there is "something to" the dream state and various stages of sleep.
Problematically, solid research requires solid note-taking, I just find it very amusing and insightful that it is likely the things one is most apt to leave-out of their notes may well be the most important.
*There are, of course, very obvious ways around this.

Yes, and now you have spent three post saying people are myopic. What about pseudointellectual?

Psuedo-intellectual is a made up word that fell out of favor in 2015. Edit: it's pretentious, and while it does serve as a pejorative for a certain type, it's been observed that it does more harm to those who employ it. (i.e. my calling one a psuedo-intellectual implies that I, somehow, am a gentleman and scholar of a higher caliber - rendering me a pompous-ass - one takes 5 damage points to issue 2. The net cost-to-damage ratio in invoking that term is never positive) "you're wrong, bitch! and here's exactly why" is most profitable... with the well placed "show me your tits" or "kill yourself" coming in close second and third.Psuedo-intellectual is a made up word that fell out of favor in 2015. @Anna. Muslims also assert this: God is truth. I think if they were to leave it at that, I'd have a hard time disagreeing. It's taking those steps-too-far by way of "Jesus is the truth and only Christianity can lead to the truth" that warrant they slow their roll. The notion that "we all have our own truths" is just word games. What we have are our own biases and preferences: what we'd "like" to believe. Alternatively, there are things that are just plain more effective to believe to be true despite not really knowing one way or another. For example: I believe that today will not be my last day on earth. I have no way of knowing this one way or another, it could be proven to be true or false - time will tell. Believing this does not make it "my truth". It makes it a belief. A belief is that which one acts upon *as if* true. That doesn't make a "personal truth" - it's what it always was "a belief". What we're brushing up against is "double-speak", and I guess one could say that gets me riled up! It's a pet-peeve. It triggers me.

In a sense, stating things like the truth is just "whatever", just indicates to me a sort of deeply-embedded refusal to live in reality. A sort of justification of escapism. "I reject your reality and substitute my own" (never have more smack-upside-the-head-worthy words have been uttered) - there aren't many truths. There is one truth, and many ways to misrepresent or misinterpret it.

@Baphzies. Well-put. That seems to be the long and short of it. They call them "personal truths" because it's less damaging to the ego to see them for what they are: beliefs. They're so delusional that they can't seem to sort-out belief from reality.
'Seems to be a theme among the religiously-minded. I don't mind the religiously-minded who am I to say what one ought or ought not believe in, but what this sort of mentality does to one's integrity - the mentality that truth is plastic and malleable - do they not see the damage? Who would work-with, much less trust, a person whose ethos revolves around truth being subjective? One would be inclined to ask "ok, when is it subjective? when it is convenient for you? I don't run on your clock nor do I live in your head."

*tangent: I have no books to sell or theories to peddle, but insofar as I have been able to parse "Satanism" it's essentially that it exalts the real above the ideal: the corporeal above the spiritual. All things such as will-to-power, the lewd and lascivious, reconsidering social norms, etc stem as a natural consequence of adhering to a morality centered around the physical - a "religion" (if you can call it that) of seeing the world as-is, and not as one would wish to believe it so. What success in the here and now requires, not in some after-life or by the standards of some abstract morality.

w/r/t to the approach to education, that is incredibly important. Specifically when it comes to the world as it is presented in social media. i.e. you'd think we're on the verge of a race-war if you were to follow the news and never leave your house. Go outside, and it's basically a lot of niggers, spics, and maybe a few honkies like myself - and ya' know what? the city I live in is in the top 10 cities with the highest murder rates per-capita in the country. Guess what? It's mostly - neigh - entirely black on black and spic on spic. If you're known within the neighborhood you actually live in, "sup niggers" is not the capital offence it's made out to be. The point being, there's a huge discrepancy between one's back yard and the world as presented on the interwebs. One would see this quite plainly if they bothered to unplug every so often and exist in the world for a bit.

The more susceptible we are to accepting facts as presented without further investigation - especially if these facts are presented with the pretext of making one feel informed-and-therefor-safe - the further from truth we can be lead.

Artificially inserted ambiguity is another issue: the whole "69" issue face-palm-of-a-world-view "just because it looks like a 6 to me and a 9 to you, depending on where we're standing, doesn't mean we can't be both right"... "lol! No! One of you two is either standing upside-down or dyslexic, you drug-addled weirdO's."

Which leads me to wonder if maybe "tolerance" fosters stupidity.
