Actually Ryan found this one, I'm just passing it on. Thanks for the comment in regard to my other posts. :)

I call bullshit on that. Repetitive exposure to some nasty song isn't enough to make you like it. On the contrary, it can make you hate it even more. I know it from my own experience. I hate that frog Adele. Nevertheless, I had to listen to her stupid songs every day, until I could no longer put up with her croaking and I switched to another radio station.I call bullshit on that. @Anna:It's called the mere exposure effect and it doesn't make you like a song, only makes your subconscious regard it as something familiar. That people choose the familiar over the strange and weird is a quirk of the masses. Rarer are people who choose the strange and weird over the familiar, and since it's small, and therefore less profitable, it's no surprise few people market to it.@Anna:It's called the mere exposure effect and it doesn't make you like a song, only makes your subconscious regard it as something familiar. I agree with this totally. I listen to a lot of those bad songs, only if i find good meaning. I usually don't like pop at all, but some songs are too catchy to miss out on.
