Recently I saw the Satanic Church going to these protests. And it got me thinking, how many of us have gone to these? I am not gonna lie, I went to one here in Colorado. (It was in Downtown Colorado Springs.) At first it was pretty chill, until some dickwad threw a firework at the cops first. (I have the video) And then thats when everything went to shit.
So the question is this, have you gone? If not, why? If you have, why and what happened when you went?
The Wall
I am not angry enough at the police to join the protest, but I am opinionated as all fuck on what is going on. San Diego has probably the least racist And most diverse police department (and city) in the country. Low violent crime rates, less than 30 murders a year for 1.35 million people, even with a sizable low income/'minority' population. I have no personal experience to turn me against my local police department. All cops aren't bastards
While I think prejudice is endemic in law enforcement (The more conservative the area the worse it is), I don't see a problem that can be easily solved. Police get that way through being jaded by the job. They spend most their shift in impoverished areas and as a result lose tolerance for its demographic, which I assure you is equal among all races. It just so happens no one cares about redneck tweeker Travis Bob's untimely law enforcement related death because he is white, and there is a genuine effort to make reparations in the psyche of white America. Just to show your not one of them and slavery is over. Well, that kind anyway...
While statistics say cops kill the poor, black still galvanizes the most, because of 3/5th compromises, and that it really has taken 150 years to clear that, and it's still there lingering in mostly protestant White Nationalist spheres, which is still over 20% of this Nation.
It really comes down to what draws you in. Do you get angry at police oppression the way one might get angry at having religion forced? Do you see an authoritative entity of your enslavement or do you see follower cry-baby liberals and their cause of the week?"
Maybe you see the cause of last 35 years and a plausible end to bigotry of all kinds. From 1995: https://youtu.be/lniwAXV6Ji0
Here is Dr. Brian "Dexter" Holland's opinion on the LAPD circa 1992. https://youtu.be/1RUyujhj6zg
And here is a more current one from a few of the rappers I respect. Their opinion mattering more for growing up Black in Los Angeles in notorious times. https://youtu.be/HRQ1jq1lT7Q
Generalizations will be reprogrammed by the Black Panthers. And that's not a bad thing either. It remains to be seen as to whether or not "we are all connected and in this together" is a viable new global social "control memeplex". The new testament 'handed down' being one of diversity.Actual 100% REAL OPINION:

The person who brought this up may want to kill me for even referencing her, but goddamnit if she was not completely right. It's can be "unlearned" (reprogrammed) by age 3 and definitely by puberty. The difference between 5th graders reading the "Old Yeller" of yesteryear and "House on Mango Street" today, gotta have that activist lesbian diversity.
Or as this person argued with "Sesame Street". If you don't teach recognition of difference one of those things is no longer unlike the other and always belongs. You will be hard pressed to find a racist child in today's normative curriculum and educational programming unless other environmental influences override it, like the parents or other kids. Dora The Explorer being way more helpful in sculpting a kids thinking (per the new way of diversity) than your Norman Rockwell/Mickey Mouse Aryan Americana. Where racism is concerned anyway.
A statement to that being: "You will never bring back the 1950's no matter how much your GOAT makes it seem great again."
Hence: the solution is programming children from birth to not recognize stupid differences, or even have an idea of how to be racist. Only then can we truly dislike each-other for being pieces of shit with no integrity or character...I don't buy that entirely, I think people just don't think for themselves. Loud sure worked in the 60's.
