Well. Due to my car dying and no better current plan, at 35 years old, I am stuck with my extremist christian parents in the buckle of the bible belt- the panhandle of Texas... I have choices as to where I may go next but I'm feeling extremely confused and surrounded by (the bad) Vampires. Not much money and I'm drinking myself silly... Searching for those of like mind has been rough...

I need support. Advice. Anything. I'm considering returning to New Orleans where my kind survives much better =)

I read tarot cards and I wish I could read them properly for myself right now but that just isn't really possible.

Maybe I sound like I'm complaining- I hope not! I became a member of this forum because I have not been finding those of like mind here IRL and I'm hoping there is some kind of solace here... Even if it's just some words of motivation.

My first real experience with Satanism was reading "The Satanic Witch"... I've never had a real father figure and LaVey  became a lifetime of guidance for me in one book. I've never felt more loved and cared for.

Sucks about your car. Is there no form of public transport out where you are? Texas is fairly large.. If there is, I would use that to my advantage asap. If you don't know how, learn.

I'm not really a drinker so, I guess, take what I have to say about it with a grain of salt if you will. If you feel so surrounded by these "vampires", as you call them, you are only weakening yourself with your hopelessness and reckless alcoholic binges. Not to mention, it's not really an attractive trait to be a drunk.

If that is a viable option.. go for it.

I find that whenever I read tarot, I cannot do a proper read on myself. Your cards will follow suit with your emotions and if you are feeling down or, in your case, confused and not sober.. they will be muddled. Tarot is a faulty thing because they can change so much within a 24 hour time period.

My advice? Don't look to your cards, stop being a drunk and get on with it. You will only go forward if you make the right movements forward. It doesn't sound like you are complaining... It sounds like you are wasting your time and wallowing in a grief cycle that's not doing you any favors.

Thank you for responding and yes you are right!

Not long after I posted this, I started looking in Denver for opportunities and things have opened up significantly.

I appreciate your advice =)

Oh and by the way- where I'm at there is almost no public transportation. There is a bus that comes by several miles down the road every two hours or more and it goes to a handful of places like the mall.  It is a nightmare. Thankfully Denver will be different.

I'm in San Antonio. Bus system is wonderful. 20 minutes and I'm downtown at a death metal show. This is the city of my birth. Have you ever been here Debie? I drink myself silly when I feel like it or when the work is done, whichever comes first.
