In have an idea. Too circumstantial to know for certain, but I have an idea.
And no one does it intentionally. It's insulated through a buffer.
And this is how it's done:
Targeted person has specific narrative being fed to them.
To feed the narrative to the person things like "troll games" are used. Without their knowledge participants are fed topics to troll with and given a rule like, "As soon as you get called out you are out". They don't even realize at the site they are told to play at is a person being subliminally fucked with. Nor should they.
Pretty ingenious, but fucking sick none the less if done for amusement alone. Talk shit directly, but don't fucking think exploiting psychological processes and a person's intuition is anything but subliminal terrorism. And that's my problem with it. It inserts hostility into someone's life and shrouds it in superstition and mental illness. Like it's meant to drive people insane and cause mass shootings. Or gaslight them into submission, whichever occurs first.
Especially because no one even realizes they are doing anything at all. The ultimate in plausible deniability.
Been happening for years, on all sites across the internet, and maybe it's just convenient for people not to see. No one wants to think their participation in something is really them being unintentionally used like monkeys to piss people off they truly know nothing about.
The real life version is even worse. They (the hollow faceless they) convince people they're "helping" you or "opening you up".
I'll be Cassandra (or Miranda) on this one. It's worth it. I want to see that "world without sin" before I die.
