Quote from ShadowLover Manx, I don't think living more than one life is outside of the realm of possibility. I personally believe that we can reincarnate if we want to but many here would vehemently disagree with me and that is okay.

I believe we imprint on things everyday, sometimes consciously like when a woman makes a home peaceful, but often unconsciously. If everybody is imprinting on objects or in spaces, then there is memories and knowledge floating around that can be gathered by anyone. We think of obtaining knowledge through books or conversation or through experimentation, but we can also tap into imprints and energy.

I would have to attest to this, because in my experience I have learned this is true seeing as how whatever imprint others get of me it's not a comfortable one they can jibe with. And of course I can say the same thing regarding reincarnation and such. It's like I know in my bones that this isn't the first time my consciousness have been around, in fact I feel as though I've been round the reincarnation block a few times and that this current incarnation; what I said about my life feels as though it's as it must be for whatever reason.

Frater, I know LHP is not the same as Social Darwinism, nor are all LHP practitioners Capitalists. I was just sharing my journey and how they neatly fit together in my life.

Grimey. Yeah, I know what you mean in regard to reincarnation. And frankly, I think believing is such is only an issue if you are using it as an excuse not to achieve in this life, or if you are resting on it. But drawing on memories can be a tool!

One thing which I learned when I first joined SIN was a powerful lesson for me and that is that I can manipulate Karma. Like any other force - Karma can be reprogrammed. That was a powerful step forward for me.

@Frater. Maybe I don't understand where your problem lies? Apparently you feel I have missed a question? Please ask it again but maybe rephrase it.

Okay, now I understand what you are getting at.

Firstly, remember the LHP is not dictated by rules but perpetuated by guidelines.

Secondly...

The Appraisal of Life in the Here-and-now: 'The focus of Left-Hand Path spiritualities is on corporeal existence in the present, not on an afterlife. All aspects of life are valued, even its destructive aspects. [...] Moderate to extreme hedonism is advocated'2. See "The Religion of the Flesh" by Vexen Crabtree (2002).

Believing in a conscious existence which extends beyond this mortal existence is not a violation of LHP guidelines. Notice the word "Focus".

My "Focus" is on this life.

I may ponder stuff... In fact, I'm sure we all ponder a lot of things to do with any myriad of topics... (I ponder what happens to an atom when it gets split and becomes a bomb. The number of particles in a system is constant so does it regroup? Or does it become a void?).

But my focus is and always has been on becoming the most authentic version of myself possible, and I am not waiting for my next life to do it. ...Or not doing it because of a past life. Those existences, if actual, are for the most part irrelevant. ...Unless there is something I can utilise in the Now. My "focus" is on "Me... Now..." ...And what makes me happy! : )
