That is an interesting symbol. I associate that symbol with the sun, as far as alchemy goes, and more generally with the Monad, the all, or the One. Interesting that the eye sees and the underlying mind comprehends.

Yeah there are a few schemes that this imagery can be symbolic of, and that's coming from someone who doesn't read a whole lot.

Any non-trivial setting where there is a point or sphere residing at the center of an outer circumference(s). So with the Sun being at the center of its' system and the concentric planetary orbits, which are more elliptical, but it's the same idea.

My first association for this image came about when I was contemplating existential/primordial origins concurrently with the Thelemic concept of Hadit(the point) and Nuit(the expanse), in which the primordial would be synonymous with that.

So the primary association for me would be the primordial point (Hadit) that briefly existed as a singular aspect from nothing(negative existence(Ain)), and prior any circumference, which in a contemporary cosmology has come to be understood as the inflation of the Universe(Nuit).

In comparison with the star system association, the primordial exhibits the concentric circumference as evolutionary layers of time, which in Kabbalistic terms are referred sephirah.

Edit : removed a word : So

I like the reference to Hadit/Nuit. I am reading it along those lines to see where it takes me.

Another way I've been seeing it lately is infinity encapsulated by eternity. Which is about as far as you can take it, and everything else would be a reflection of that.

The acausal facilitates emergence of the infinite one(the point within) all throughout eternity, while eternity itself, the eternal serpent(Ouroboros) is symbolized as its' outer circumference.

So you can take it to its' outer extreme, and then work inwards from there.
