As a young kid I started to develop a big interest in Psychedelic usage, as well as the popularity of Psychedelics that has surrounded the counter culture back in the 60's. A lot of people that I've known who are about my age or younger have partook in psychedelics themselves. I would say that you are now seeing a big resergence on Psychedelic usage. For my generation weed is pretty much the big thing (which is entirely separate from the psychedelic category) however it isn't just weed that is the big thing. Nowadays Acid and Shrooms seems to be another popularity with some of my generation. We hear many stories based on psychedelic propaganda which was developed by the conservative establishment back in the 60's.
The most common stories that I've heard surrounding psychedelics are getting "flashbacks," or getting "perma fried." Some people to this day have bought into the whole psychedelic propaganda. And it's amazing how much critical thinking is never used to break the propaganda myths. When you've known people who have personally used mind altering substances, as well as people like Zach Black who has even broken those myths, including documentaries on psychedelics, you already began to analyze it and come up with your own conclusion that these anti-psychedelic myths are bull shit. Now don't get me wrong, any drug that is abused can probably mentally fuck you up one way or the other. However, if you yourself have tried these mind altering substances you will come to those same conclusions that disproves government propaganda.
I am a big supporter on psychedelic usage including the benefits that psychedelics has on the individual. Certain psychedelics can open up one's subconscious of the very hidden that one has kept away. It makes you face your own very subconscious. Sometimes the things that you face on your psychedelic trip can be negative, and of course you don't wanna face the negative of your subconscious. But at the same time when you face that very negativity of the hidden, you began to come to your own self-realization of your own self. It makes you challenge that very self, it makes you question that very self, it raises that awareness of that very self-transformation. It gives you the question if you want to accept those changes within the very self to improve on.
Psychedelics isn't for everyone. It is for the very few that has that openness to reject the status quo, and that's willing to see these substances themselves. I personally think that if one is in possession of these substances, they shouldn't get arrested from that. These substance's can have a positive impact on the individual self, if the individual is responsible on having a purpose by using these mind altering substances. I personally do not have a problem if one uses these substances recreationally. But in my personal opinion some of these substance's isn't really meant to be recreational at all. Rather it can become an alternative to psychological therapy for the individual. It can form the very fabric of the individuals critical thinking process as well as one's spiritual or philosophical foundation. Every trip is different on the individual. Some can have that recreational experience when indulging with these mind altering substances. And some who try to do it recreationally can get the opposite result where it focuses more on the psychology of one's mind. Don't get me wrong in the psychedelic world, you do have a group that I call the "psychedelic elitists" who believe that psychedelics should only be used for therapy. I personally disagree with that form of elitism. Yes, not everyone should use psychedelics. But I strongly advocate an open mindedness on psychedelic usage on one's individuality. If someone uses it recreationally be my guest, if someone uses it therapeutically, be my guest. I don't believe in dictating to others on that elitist view on psychedelics.
California is known for being a Democratic Blue state. But here where I am at, I am in one of the most unusual counties in Southern California where its Evangelical Conservative Bible Central. As a matter of fact I like to nickname my place as the Bible Belt of Southern California. As I've mentioned on my previous post "that some of us may have had bad experiences that drew us to Satanism and the Left Hand Path," this subject of growing up in the bible belt can fit the criteria for some of us. Having gone to an Evangelical Private School as a kid, I pretty much know the fanatical mindset of an Evangelical. They have this attitude that their religion is "the one true religion" or "one true God," and that all other religions that do not fit their viewpoints are regarded as false and evil. They have this Third Reich attitude on cleansing the world or the people themselves. One of the fanatical sides that I've experienced from being around Evangelicals is on not being considered "Christian enough," just because I never gravitated towards Christian rock. Being a young child I was indoctrinated in that environment, and no matter how much I truly believed in their faith I was not regarded to be as hardcore enough to be considered a "Christian."
I have no problem what one practice's or believes in, so long if its a personal and private thing. As a matter of fact I have a 36 year old friend/acquaintance who is Catholic and we get along quite well. We never bring up religion at each others faces. Religion for him is probably considered a very personal and private thing. To me you can say the same as well. The problem that I have is when one commercializes one's beliefs and assumes they can own a city/town by taking it over and having this mindset on dominating others/the world with their religion as "the one true way." For some of you who live in a place like that and who have had that kind of a bad traumatic experience, I wouldn't want to remain there. As a matter of fact I would want to be in a place as far away from that environment as best I can. That is where my advocacy on finding one's own homeland comes into the picture.
I believe in finding a secular homeland without the Evangelicals. Where religion is seen as something private and personal. Where it's considered rude to dictate one's faith in front of a persons face "that you need a spiritual foundation." Where you can freely walk on dirt, without seeing the writings of "Jesus Loves You," or "Jesus Loves Me." A homeland without seeing Crosses on every mountain close to the freeway, a homeland that fits one's own attitudes whether it is political or not. I'd rather live in a place with a bunch of extreme progressives than being in a place like that. For some who have the hostility and the hate as well as the opposite points of views in an Evangelical dominating conservative environment, wouldn't you want to move to your homeland where you no longer feel these strong animosities as you are feeling now? That is my question for some to think about.
It is about you being a free individual. Some of us who are attracted to the Left Hand Path have had certain bad past experiences that got us there. To quote from Nikolas Schreck himself "If you are drawn to the left hand path, it's usually because you've had some kind of life experience that has shocked you, awakened you." My parents have always hoped their son would grow out of Satanism. Like any parent, they assumed it was some kind of a phase. And they still have this false hope that I might one day change and dump what I practice and believe in. But that isn't going to happen. The quote from Schreck pretty much sums it up.
I love the Left Hand Path and putting Satanic philosophy to practice. I have no interest in going back to being part of the docile sheep. My personal Life experience that has "shocked and awakened me," will never go away. That life experience was simply one that was a positive transformation for me. I acknowledge the Black Flame, that very gift of intelligence that man has ignored. For some of us that has had a bad life experience, we simply chose to acknowledge that Black Flame within us. We enjoy the sensations of this very gift of Freedom that this Black Flame holds within us. Why go back to conform to a persons wish, if that was a part of that Life experience that awakened you to tread along to the Path of Darkness?
And finally I will leave a last quote from the man himself, "A Satanist should not allow himself to be programmed by others. He should fight tooth and nail against it, for that is the greatest enemy to his freedom of spirit." That is where I stand. I can be a politician if I have to on anytime of the given day. But when it comes to dealing with someone who tries to dictate to me on what I should and shouldn't do in my own personal lifestyle, that is something I will fight tooth and nail against.
Now, as I have stated this before. I don't have any hate to those who practice Christianity in any shape or form. But I despise the religion that has been created in order to destroy mans true Satanic nature. It is not my goal to bring mankind into Satanism or Satanic philosophy. As a matter of fact that would be rather un-Satanic. It is only up to man to bring himself up from that slave morality. Man can choose to remain asleep and still hold onto that indoctrination by falling for that good guy badge. Or man can choose to further his Satanic awakening by ripping off that indoctrination of slave morality and by ripping off that good guy badge. The choice is simply up to you.
I think that its important that if one chooses to bring back their Satanic nature, one must also never forget the negative past of Christianity. If one claims that they no longer follow Christianity and that they have fully "abandoned it" but are still clinging on to that indoctrination, they are either ignoring part of that acknowledgement through history by putting on that good guy badge which hinders their own Satanic nature. If one however fully Satanically educates himself and takes a look at society, acknowledges history, accepts that Christianity is of no use to mans own nature, then that's when mans Satanic nature is brought back. The Choice is up to you.
Nationalism may had worked in the 1950's when it was 100% a Nazerene country, with so many indoctrination's among its flock. But it is no longer there, it has simply vanished. Those who carry the false dream that they want to enforce a collectivist/Nationalist state need to grow the fuck up, It's a little kids dream. This country is collectivist in a sense with both extreme side's of the far left and the far right, (maybe evangelical conservatives included). But it is not fully collectivistic. Collectivism can only work if you have both a religious/political cult flock in this country, that is it. It cannot work fully and never will. Any idiot can figure out that this country is all about making money, their isn't anything patriotic. It is all a figment of one's imagination. Idealism is a poison in the human mind. As a walker on this path I focus on what's real, I do not spend time bitching about the so called "division" about this country. My main focus is on myself, how I prosper on my own. I do not care about the state, nor do I care about its docile humans.
I refuse to embrace the so called status quo from other so called American idealists who are in the same boat on enforcing their fantasy of a traditional 50's Nationalistic country (or something along these lines.) The only belief that I may hold is on the individual, his own autonomy/sovereignty. Politics/idealism has become the replacement of Christianity. I regard this country today to still be a Nazarene country even though others would say "Christianity is dying." It might be dying, however the Christian slave morality is still in effect.
I personally prefer Yule, as a matter of fact I'm planning something out this year on Yule. So, no matter if Christmas is considered an "American Tradition," why celebrate a holiday that was originally Christian oriented? I want this question to stick in the minds of Heathens and Satanists reading this.
Similar to Zach Black's "Might is Right" Satanism explained video, this essay will sorta cover something similar both from a Setian/Satanic standpoint on the individual and his involvement with the Universe.
It's interesting that I come across those who are Right Hand Path (including those who claim that they are completely in disfavor of a Conventional institution but are still indoctrinated by it), that believes in their subjective theory of getting rid of that form of individual selfishness by dissolving themselves in the physical universe by any means necessary, either from a collectivistic political/religious white light way of directing action within their own selves. The standpoint of the Left Hand Path has always been about embracing the ego/one's own god self (that doesn't mean justifying it by becoming a total asshole). If we look at the act of selfishness in an individual, it is part of this individuals nature to focus on himself above all others, doing his own thing first, while others come second. From the Setian viewpoint the Individual is a separate entity from the physical universe while in it. The Setian or Satanist realizing this, accepts reality the way it is, hence our acts of selfishness of the individual coming first, is cherished.
If we look at a practitioner of the Right Hand Path or someone who uses collectivistic politics as their religious replacement, their view of selfishness is based almost on the Christian standpoint of Sin. They will attempt to destroy the ego by seeking that union with god or the herd. But in all actuality their theories of destroying the ego within their individual selves' fails. Often time's those who are involved in Collectivistic political/Conventional religious means, put on their good guy badges to make themselves feel good by helping others as a whole. Even though they would take offense of wiping off their good guy badge's, it shows that selfishness cannot be destroyed. It can be repressed in a cell, but it cannot be destroyed. This also similarly applies to having empathy to every human being on this planet. It is impossible to love everyone or even make the excuse of caring about "part of humanity" when in all actuality you don't. Their is no problem on loving those closest to you, that deserve it. But this way of hippie thinking on "caring about humanity as a whole," has also its contradictions similarly on attempting to destroy the individual ego.
This shows that the right hand path system and also collectivist politics fails in certain ways, collectivistic politics can work with the herd, but its ideological beliefs are proven to be contradictory from a Left Hand Path standpoint. If you on the Left Hand Path carry the notion of embracing this "having an empathy as a whole" fluff, or still looking down upon the ego, then you need some thinking to do.
So yesterday, I came across a youtube video on "Satanism as a religion?" This thing of calling Satanism a "religion," has been something I've pondered for a while. Now, I am not here to bash anyone that would adhere to any kind of religions. The point of my blog post is to simply cut through the vines towards the logic and reasoning on this subject.
A few people might call Satanism a religion, but what is a religion? If you look at most religions(I kind've mean it centered around on Christianity), it misses the concepts of having the critical thinking, skepticism, logic/reasoning. What I am trying to say is, religions such as Christianity does not get deeper on the surface's of reality. What do I mean by reality? The real world where god and Jesus cannot help you in your situations that you encounter in your own life. Now I am not saying their are stupid illogical people in every religion, as a matter of fact I am sure you have certain intelligent/logical individuals in every religion. But religion's such as Christianity miss those three key concepts (as I have stated earlier). Now take a look at Satanism, what do you see? Do you see it as a religion, or a philosophy? Take a look at the things that LaVey combined as his influences by applying it in Satanism. And tell me the logic if it is a religion?
So I find it funny that you might have a small percentage of people that would consider the Satanism incorporated by LaVey as a religion. The difference between a philosophy and a religion is pretty simple, in which I can bet every person knows it. A philosophy is a logical analysis/skepticism of life and the things that surround everyday life. A religion is one that does not have any logic or skepticism of an analysis towards life and everyday life. Christianity of course is that example. Instead it focuses on blindness towards belief without questioning it. Satan being "the one who questions," is that common antithesis. To the few percentage of people who actually choose to take Satanism like a regular church going person without any logical reasoning or critical thinking, I want you to take a look at these influences of LaVey, and try to compare it with the title "religion." Doesn't make any sense right? The simple theory that comes about, is perhaps LaVey simply used the term "religion" for pr purposes. Another thing to take a look at, read the satanic bible again and tell me if it makes sense to add magic rituals related towards a whole book that gets to the point of the here and now? To those who foolishly believe in it as some literal bible, I have no interest in hearing your argumental justifications as a "religion."
But it isn't. The group, or community, all creates a herd of its own under its political/occult banner of ideologies. To those who have left the Abrahamic religions and think that they got rid of their master, you are simply wrong. All you have done is replaced a master with a different master. Their is no critical thinking involved in any of these organizations/political ideologies/music. Instead you all become cows, instead of one who can walk on his own two feet alone. What makes us different on the Left Hand Path, is we each only center upon ourselves, and choose our own destiny by shaping it under our own wills. Yes, you can make the logical argument saying, "well isn't fake individualism everywhere? I mean you guys are all doing the same thing." Yes, we have our own organizations/communities, but what makes us separate from groups that preach fake individualism, is the fact that each of us on the path do not have any common mission's, nor are we all in the same boat with the same ideas.
The Left Hand Path is for one who can either choose to win or loose, It is a Social Darwinist system. Those who claim to be on the path and choose to preach or practice the SJW "Woke" mentality are not on the path at all. Instead the path has weeded them out. This path is for the strong who strive towards their own future, it is not for the weak who would share the same collective intellectual ideas. Personally, I don't have a problem having a brotherhood with comradery that comes to it. But what it all comes down to, is each is on its own when it comes to practicing the Left Hand Path. Their is no having a Satanic group bible study, this path is a path with differing ideas that we choose under our own separate wills. A true individualist does not wish to belong with a group of creatures, instead a true individualist is a lone wolf.
I find it cringy encountering "Thiest Satanists" who would randomly post things, saying things like "work with Satan," "He will guide you and offer you succession," or something along these lines. I also find it funny that critical thinking lacks in those who run left hand path communities, or who are even "practicing it," or not. If you cannot critically think, or be skeptical on what you find and approach, then you are one of these people who have been weeded out of the left hand path. As one who believes in the literal existence of the Gods of darkness, I do not use these conscious entities as an opiate to my everyday life.
As a matter of fact I might not really strike a person observing me to be a thiest at all, but someone who is smarter than your average religious American. You see even though I may believe in the existence of gods/goddesses, that does not mean that I choose to be blind by my own beliefs. If you on the left hand path want to be on the path, then its about time that you straighten yourself out. Yes, I believe that the practice of Magick does exist. But at the same time I know that practicing Magick, is not something that you can be dependent on. What I am trying to say, is this path is not your office secretary or assistant. Some people who claim they "practice" it, might have an entirely different take.
But they are simply wrong on that. In order to be on this path for all eternity, you have to accept yourself. By that I do not mean on hugging yourself, but by accepting that you are simply ready to walk on the path, and that their is no turning back. You see the reason why I like to call the left hand path a Social Darwinist system, its because it is one. As I may repeat this many times, those who choose to go on this path but remain spiritually and intellectually stupid as a whistle, will simply remain outside of the path.
Let me try to explain what it means to be a critical thiest on the left hand path: I believe that Satan, Odin, and Lilith exist. But even though I believe that these beings exist, I know that they do intervene with the practitioner himself, but in a different sense. Even though the prince of darkness is able to communicate with you, that does not mean that he or she could make your everyday life work 24/7. You as an individual are ultimately responsible in how you will yourself and your own life. No gods cannot will it for you. They can evolve you as a different person, but they can't evolve your life all the time. As a critical thiest I believe in educating myself with different philosophies, whether it is atheistic or not. In order to strive on the left hand path is to have an open mind by accepting ideas or disagreeing with them, which is the basis of being a critical thiest. This is not the only basis, at all. As a matter of fact their are more to consider upon yourself.
