 On a brighter side, with this lockdown and new way of life, all I can say is learn and do what you can while at home; how to make bread, can fruits and veggies, use old sheets and underwear for TP if you have to, but take this time to educate yourself on the things that our great-grandparents knew how to do.  That is how you survive whatever it is that is coming.
As for tanks and soldiers on the streets and enforcing restrictions, don't discount it.  At the same time, don't fear it.  If/when the time comes and you are confronted by the situation, remember that soldiers are just people trying to support their families as well (they have a job to do).  At the same time, don't hesitate to ask them where they place their allegiance...is it with their oath to protect our nation or with some political party?  This country is one bad situation away from becoming 1930's Germany and a fascist state; don't fear socialism as it is already here, but a fascist state (the thing that follows socialism) is no good for anyone in a nuclear age.  
Side Rant: This is where society breaks down a lot; no dialog.  My biggest beef with my country is the inability of our society to listen; we all feel we need to be heard.  Communication doesn't work that way...the purpose of communication is to listen, not be heard.  You were born with two ears and one mouth so you can listen twice as much as you speak.  This is when civil unrest ignites into chaos...when we stop listening.  I also don't discount a Red Flag operation to test the waters of what people are willing to give up in the name of security; think of what America gave up willingly in 2001.
Ok...back on topic:
As for China, another non-worry.  China has 1.2 billion people who cannot all be employed and the US consumes 25% of their products.  Economically speaking, China doing something like this doesn't work for China.  The US not consuming means Chinese people are out of work.  That much unemployment there would cause a civil war and the powers that be in China do not want that.  Besides, the only time you should worry about the economy is if/when OPEC decides to disconnect from the dollar; that happens and we are all fucked (in the US) beyond belief.
Anyway, in the end, I wouldn't worry about right now but this coming fall.  As also stated, we need to build an immunity and this thing will rear its ugly head again in the fall/winter.  In 1919, the flu was new and it took time to build an immunity.  Ultimately, Mother Nature is pissed at humans and is working to slow us down.  It happens.  So get smart on how people lived not more than 100 years ago and prepare yourselves that way...just my thoughts.

Western consumption of dairy products, which increases phlegm production, causes a more severe or widespread reaction as the susceptible drown in their mucus. Maybe Vegans have an advantage I shouldn't have been so quick to condemn. 

It's spreading slower in countries with less use of dairy products. 

I would like to know the lactose consumption percentages of those admitted to the ICU...
