A valid point made by Mr. Zack Black in his video. I agree 99% with him. Satanism was birthed in an era when it was a counterculture. However, due to the paradigm shift in society when analyzing the change over the past 50 to 60 years, Satanism, as codified by Anton LaVey, is no longer a counterculture to anything. It has lost its place in the ever progressively moving world towards the acceptance of the Satanic. I would like to reference the essay "Satanism by any other name". This is 100% true. For this reason, the philosophy(ies) will always be wrapped up by the title/label "Satanism".

With this being said, I do not agree that this is reason to no longer use the word "Satanism", but more so even stronger conviction to necessitate descriptive qualifiers such as "LaVeyan", "Traditional", "Spiritual", "TST", "Animistic", and every other variation due to the constantly changing nature of etymology in regards to American English.
