Is Satanism as a label still relevant in 2020? | Forum

Aborior Translatione
For the first time ever I wrote a song specifically inspired by a thread. It's just what I hear when I read some of these, ineptitude as the divine muse.  Took since my last response to write and get online, so don't expect too much.

And as far as the original post, if not Satanism, then maybe Realism with a descent into chaos.

Oh Canis, I see Frater is your muse.

It was quite a good piece of music but I'm thinking of something less sophisticated when I'm reading his turds:

Aborior Translatione
Naw, it needed to have more complexity. I almost did a slower one on a music box tinking along, but I wanted to represent "Trevors Axiom" in music.  Except not trolling specifically as much as the machine-like response of everyone (myself included) participating.

I appreciate you catching me up, but I can see why Satanic groups no longer work. Awesome opportunity for discussion like this topic get wasted by pointless bickering. It's sad.
Quote from Aborior Translatione
Quote from Infernal Acumen A valid point made by Mr. Zack Black in his video. I agree 99% with him. Satanism was birthed in an era when it was a counterculture. However, due to the paradigm shift in society when analyzing the change over the past 50 to 60 years, Satanism, as codified by Anton LaVey, is no longer a counterculture to anything. It has lost its place in the ever progressively moving world towards the acceptance of the Satanic. I would like to reference the essay "Satanism by any other name". This is 100% true. For this reason, the philosophy(ies) will always be wrapped up by the title/label "Satanism".
-
With this being said, I do not agree that this is reason to no longer use the word "Satanism", but more so even stronger conviction to necessitate descriptive qualifiers such as "LaVeyan", "Traditional", "Spiritual", "TST", "Animistic", and every other variation due to the constantly changing nature of etymology in regards to American English.
Yeah, that's the topic.

But not as much fun.

To recap: The Danish kid just called Chloe a molested male and then a "sympathetic" account threaterned to shove his cock up her cunt, which he said doesn't exist.

That's WAY more engaging than a dry semantic topic.

One of the greatest quotes I ever heard from a satanist was when I met Xear, owner of The Defunct 600 club.

"If I posted like I really wanted to I'd get kicked off my own site." (sic)

@Infernal Acumen,

See... the thing is that such topics, like this one, have been discussed dozens of times in one form or another. And it all boils down to semantics, really. Honestly, some of us, especially those who've been here for years, are running out of ideas for serious, "meaningful" discussions, if there is such a thing at all.

RE : Recognition Of Irony Becoming Increasingly Rare : It don't necessarily jump right out at you, but if you view it through that particular lens over there, you can SEE IT, in HIM wanting to have a serious conversation.

Satanic groups do work but outside of cyberspace, so it's pure coincidence if you meat individuals who are Satanists near you. If you do then your group will always be preserved because Satanism is a religion...

ABORIOR:

That's what I don't understand. Why would there be such a need to communication in such a manner? The Devil is a gentleman so I don't see how communicating in such a way is conducive to a furthering of the/a philosophy.
-

ANNA:

With the near infinite ways in which Satanism (and other LHP philosophies) can be applied in life, I have a difficult time imagining how there aren't enough topics. I'll go ahead and start doing my part to create some new topics if that is the problem. :)

-

CORNELIUS:

I'm sorry, I don't understand.

-

TOM:

I couldn't possibly agree more. Thank you for the reassurance, sir.

If you want people here to kneel and coddle your intellectual balls, just say so.

What's sad and pitiful is you coming here, all starry-eyed, selling your loony snake oil about demons and magic and shit: and nobody here gives a real fuck.

What's sad is that it will take you a few months to realize that you are talking to yourself, because nobody gives a fuck what you have to say.

What's sad is that you have no idea how to make people give a fuck.

Go ahead. However, expect most of your topics to devolve into "I hate women. All women are bad" derpy rants posted by some deranged shits-for-brains and subsequent mockery.

Phil seems to think I'm a new kid on the block. No idea why (s)he would think that. I guess it just gives him/her power in believing such. It really must suck for them to be miserable people no valid reason. It must be terrible for those people to hate themselves so much. There is nothing they can do to get under my skin because I'm at one with myself. However, they are free to live life miserably if they choose. To each their own no matter how mentally ill they may be. I wish them all the best in life.

I will be around on this account for the long run. Just sucks I lost my old accounts. I could find my first account. My second account might still exist, if I can remember the information. lol

ANNA:

Fair enough. I'll take your words of caution and I know what to expect. You and only a couple others have really been helpful and respectful. Thank you for being who you are. I appreciate it.

I've been on Facebook, so just noticing this. You are a new kid on the block; your words, not hers. There is truth in what she says, and I don't see her as being miserable. The places she's been, and the things she's seen. I don't even know the half of it, but I'm pretty sure you got it all wrong.

Phil_Lopian is a joke, do you even get it? You should refer to her as Chloe. That's her name.

I can't stand people like Infernal Acne who are ego-centric where they have a habit of hijacking threads and topics and making it all about themselves.
