Dave Navarro Satanists? | Forum

Dave Navarro the musician who was the guitarist for popular bands such as Janes Addiction and the Red Hot Chilli Peppers recently got a very interesting tattoo on his neck. The symbol of brimstone. Which was made popular by LaVey in the satanic bible. Although LaVey did not invent this symbol, it is often associated with Satanism. It is the universal symbol for sulfer. LaVey used it in the satanic bible above the nine satanic statements. So, it appears either Navarro is either into alchemy or has come out as a Satanist.

I do not know about you all, but all my tattoos have meaning and were well thought of. I share ( along with many other Satanist ) the same brimstone tattoo.

Justin and I brimstone tattoos.

Hmm. Oddly enough, I've never really cared for the brimstone symbol. I enjoy the 'sacred geometry' and simple minimalism of a good old fashioned pentagram, lol. I even have a tattoo of one.

Still, always nice to see someone repping.

wow interesting. its also listed in some alchemy texts as the symbol of saturn.. but brimstone is more likely. it could just be an alchemy thing instead of something satanic, because the symbol was used long before Lavey identified with it.

True Venus. But in this day and age it is likely a LaVeyan thing.

It would surprise me if it's an alchemy thing for him, since it, apparently referred to as the "pontifical cross of Satan" by some non-Satanists, more than likely is viewed like the swastika (i.e. according to its most recent application).

People's application of symbolism these days, lol.  It continues to enforce that old saying of, "We give symbols their meaning, not the other way around."

Here's another funny example.

A newer Christian symbol.  Haha!

Or he simply thought that this symbol is cute so he decided to have it tattooed on his neck. Brimstone is a neutral symbol but many musicians use Satanic imagery for shock value, to appear more controversial than they really are.

Sure, he coulda saw it somewhere and decided it looked cool. Unlikely though. He could be a king diamond fan, possible. I know the meaning behind my tattoos. I assume he does to. Although I could be wrong.
